Recreational Facilities: More than 60 golf courses led to the name Costa del Golf. But that is by far not all what that coast offers: Did you know that the only horse race track in South Spain is only 15 minutes away and that the only oval bullfight arena is in Mijas? Of course all water sports, like swimming, surfing etc. are possible. Bike rental, fishing, golf, hiking, horse-back riding, jogging, miniature golf, open-air pool, tennis, water park, are further possibilities. Only 15 minutes by car from Malaga airport (AGP): From the airport take the exit to A N 340 to CADIZ (NOT to Malaga).This will take you onto a 3-lane road. After about 2,5 km turnright on to the motorway N 340E17A7 marked ALGECIRASBenalmadena (blue sign) and follow it for approx. 10 kms. You will pass Torremolinos and Benalmadena.Do NOT take exit 217 BenalmadenaMijas.Stay on A7N340 costa, and take exit 214 to FUENGIROLAAlgeciras for just 400 meters. Then, take exit 213 to MIJASFuengirola.This will take you in a wide curve to a roundabout, where you go right onto A387 to MIJAS.Go uphill for 4 kms until there is a BP petrol-station on the left hand side and a small roundabout. Go left in the roundabout (direction Mijas centro) for NO MORE than 50 m. Make a sharp right turn in the next roundabout onto a steep private road and follow the yellow sign LA JAMISA (DO NOT take the public road to AlhaurinCoin).
