For older children between the ages of eight and sixteen during the school holidays there is a full program of junior sports at the Activ8 Club. For children between the ages of four and sixteen who love football, we have as well the Parque Football Academy ran by the ex-Birmingham and Tranmere footballer, Mark McCarrick. These soccer sessions take place in Easter and during Mid Term Break on May, Summer Holidays July and August and October Half Term. For golf lovers we offer the most challenging 18-hole par 71 course at the western Algarve, which winds its way magically through the resort. The Vigia Golf Academy is where you can refine your swing and other golf techniques. Located in the heart of Parque da Floresta is Spa Floresta where you can relax and find the latest health and beauty treatments and most up-to-date fitness facilities. On leaving Faro airport, turn right and follow the signs to Faro. Drive past the car hire company depots and continue along this road until you come to a flyover. Drive across the flyover, and take the 2nd slip road signposted PORTIMO. You will now be on a dual carriageway, called the EN125, heading west toward PORTIMO. After about 4kms on this road, you will see blue signs for the motorway, you need to be in the left lane here so you can join the motorway in the direction of LISBOA, ALBUFEIRA and PORTIMO. Approximately 2kms after, you will need to take a new slip road, which is the 2nd on the right sign posted LISBOA, LOULE, PORTIMO (motorway). You are now on the A22 at this point heading west in direction of PORTIMO. Please note there are NO petrol stations on this motorway.Stay on the motorway (A22) until you reach Junction 1, which is the second and most westerly LAGOS exit. Do not take the Lagos Este and Odiaxere exit (Junction 2), or you will have to drive through the town of Lagos. Take that exit and at the second roundabout, at the end, turn right, following the signs for VILA DO BISPO SAGRES. You will now be on the N125 road again. Continue driving westward on this road, past the turnoffs for the villages of LUZ, ESPICHE, ALMADENA and BURGAU.After about 15 kms on this road you will come to the village of BUDENS and will see a supermarket on the right hand side called Ecomarche. Approx 200 metres after the supermarket, take the 2nd turning on your right-hand side. Follow that road up to the top (where you will see a windmill) then turn left and follow the road round. After approx 100 meters turn left at the wooden house and then 50 metres down the road on the right hand side you will see the Reception of the QUINTA DA ENCOSTA VELHA resort . WELCOME!
