General Description: The stone farmhouse is a typical rural Umbrian construction, with ceilings of chestnut and elm beams and a tiled terracotta floor. The farmhouse is furnished with antique furniture from 1600 to 1800 which perfectly complements the ambience. A collection of small paintings portraying birds decorates the walls, there is also an ancient framed document detailing the sale of some land and a sewing machine which evoke times gone by. There are also antique lamps and iron wall fixtures, a dresser from 1600, a wardrobe and a table from 1800, antique bed frames everything in this house has a history. Fitted with a delightful array of unusual features and charming twists including an outside oven, a portico, an antique chaise lounge to mention a few. The outdoor swimming pool offers a refreshing dip and is surrounded by sun loungers and chairs for cool evening conversations. At the exit turn left, at the traffic lights left again; at the roundabout follow signs for Costano and then continue straight on until Passaggio di Bettona. From the North (Florence) Distance: 165km (around 2 hrs 23 mins) Autostrada A1, exit Valdichiana Bettolle Sinalunga, continue through Foiano to Chiana Perugia Assisi (SS.75 Bis del Trasimeno) go past Perugia and continue in the direction of Assisi-Foligno. Exit Bastia Umbria Umbriafiere Bettona (the 2nd exit for Bastia!) At the exit turn left, at the traffic lights left again; at the roundabout follow signs for Costano and then continue straight on until Passaggio di Bettona. From the South (Rome) Distance: 167km (around 2 hrs 31 mins) Autostrada A1 Exit Orte Continue right, take the S204 until the crossroads of Superstrada E45 direction Perugia, Exit Florence-Perugia. Continue towards Assisi-Foligno At the exit turn left, at the traffic lights left again; at the roundabout follow signs for Costano and then continue straight on until Passaggio di Bettona. Additional: On arrival at Passaggio di Bettona, at the roundabout (next to the only church), take the exit Passaggio centro. At the first crossroads turn right, then immediately left onto Via Sambro. Continue for around 1.5km following our signs.
