At the tip of a barrier island, it is surrounded by waterways that flow into the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. They lead into Matanzas Bay which is St. Augustine's historic downtown waterfront.Progress has led to the construction of a beautiful arched bridge that goes over the Intracoastal just one block from the Resort.
